Hello and welcome to the first post from Post Electric Studio in the heart of Leith, Edinburgh.
It's been a crazily busy and productive first 6 months at the studio working with an array of great artists like Tom Joshua, Roddy Woomble, Faye Fife and of course Idlewild, just to name a few. We also have loads of exciting upcoming projects in the pipeline too that you'll be able to hear soon.
First up is our bi-monthly live session where we record and film two live tracks with an artist we invite and release them on the Drowned in Sound blog along with an interview with our local friend Vic Galloway of BBC radio fame.
We were lucky to have our friends Fatherson pop in for the day, along with their collaborator Bruce Rintoul, to track their song "Forest" and a special Coldplay cover. Below are the results of the session all recorded in an afternoon in February this year.
Keep your eyes on our blog here for details of the next live session and our other exploits over the coming months.
If you are interested in recording at Post Electric Studio, feel free to contact us and we'll be happy to discuss your project with you.
Thanks from all of us here at Post Electric Studio.
